THE MONASTERY OF HAŁARĈIN

The picturesque monastery of Hałarĉin is located in a beautiful and dense forest 18 km. outside of the town of Dilijan. The  Hałarĉin complex consists of the Churches of the Holy Virgin [1281], St. Gregory [XIth century] and St. Stephen's Church, the porch of St. Gregory [end of XIIth and beginning of XIIIth Centuries] and the refectory [1248], erected by the talented architect Minas.
