THE MONASTERY OF HOVHAN
The Monastery of Hovhan is located in the Aragatsotn Province, near the town of Atarak. The Church is adjoining, the earlier -- St. Karapet Church, built adjacent to the southern wall of the vaulted church and dating back to the IVth to Vth centuries. In 1250, Prince Gurt Vachutianč added a new portal-porch to the western façade of the church.
